Literacy for early years
Le Grand Livre des Monsieur et Madame
A fun way to learn colours and numbers in French or any other foreign language. Adult gives instruction as to what colour a Mr Men character has to be coloured. Also useful for teaching the body parts, nose and hair and hat. I am currently working with 3 year olds in a nursery and have used these worksheets to teach the expressions: je suis and j'ai. The children have had great fun learning the French names of the Mr Men. If these are of any use to you, please take a brief moment to leave a comment. Your feedback is much appreciated. Merci! This resource has received over 6,000 downloads yet only 6 people have left a comment. Come on you guys, don't be mean. It only takes a second to say thanks for the work I have done and saved you from doing...
Ours Brun, dis-moi... French matching card game
A matching card game of the classic story 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?&'. A great way to introduce colour and names of animals in French, but could be used for any foreign language. Also suitable for using with children in early years. I am using this with 3/4 year old in French and they love it. If you find this resource helpful, please take the time to comment. Your feedback is much appreciated.
Savez-vous planter les choux
Do you know how to plant cabbages? A classic French song ideal for learning vocabulary for body parts. Children can choose whatever body parts they like which makes the song even more enjoyable and fun!! Please take the time to comment. Your feedback will be really appreciated.
Bêêê, Bêêê, Mouton Noir
What better way for children to learn French than with a nursery rhyme that they are already familiar with. They will enjoy singing in French and will learn the words in no time at all. Please take a moment to leave a comment. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
